Autumn Inspired Family Lifestyle Session / Gower Family / Sunshine Coast BC Photographer

Ok, ok....so, I like this family A LOT. Haha. This is my third blog post about the Gower family for their most recent session. They are such lovely people and I am thrilled for their new life as parents.

There is honestly nothing that opens your heart up more to more vulnerability and unimaginable amounts of love than holding your child for the very first time. It is a moment full of emotion; where your heart is bursting but you are also terrified. I remember worrying that I would do everything wrong. There are no handbooks on how to do everything perfectly. Ok, yes! There are books that give suggestions....but, every baby is so different. As humans, are all so individual and complex, as are our needs. There is no "one size fits all" approach to parenting. What might work for one baby may not work for another, and I believe that Katie is really in tune with Norah and parents her in a deeply nurturing and instinctual way. She really was meant to be a mama.

This parenting business is one hell of a ride, that's for sure! My little one is nearing her first birthday and I am sitting here with flashbacks of this time last year, when I was waiting for her arrival for 12 friggin' days after her due date! I am so thankful that I soaked every little moment up with her in this past year, that I said no to too many social engagements and allowed us to truly connect and I have no doubt in my mind that it is the strongest bond I have felt yet.

Watching Katie and Brodie with Norah, I know that they are forming that wonderful bond and that the experience of getting to know Norah will only get richer.

So, let me keep this short and share a few lovelies from their most recent family session at Mission Point Park.

Until next time,
